When is the road closure on Glen Road in operation?
Morning : 8.15am- 9.15am
Afternoon: 2.45pm- 3.45pm
How do I change my address/contact telephone number etc?
You will need to collect a change of details form from the office and sign the change, this will then get updated on the system.
How do I get my child/children in to After School Care?
You would need to email wraparoundcareneps@merciatrust.co.uk
What are the timings and costs of After School Care?
£2.50 until 4:30pm
£5 until 5:00pm
£7.50 until 6:00pm
How do I get my child in After School Activities? And what time are they?
The after school activities run until 4.30pm and can be booked via ParentPay.
How do I contact my child's class teacher?
Please message them on Class Dojo.
How do I request term time leave?
Holiday or leave during term time is not normally authorised at Nether Edge Primary School and we strongly encourage parents and carers to take holidays in the half-term and end of term holidays that are detailed in the school calendar.
However, if an exceptional circumstance or family emergency arises please discuss this with our Headteacher, Mrs Nott.
How do I order school uniform?

What are the school gates opening and closing times?
Morning 8.35am to 8.45am
Afternoon 3.10pm to 3.15pm
What do I do if my child is late to school?
Children should arrive before 08:45am. After this time ring the buzzer on the school gate, enter the office and sign your child in via a member of office staff.
What should I do if my child is poorly? How do I report their absence?
Please call the school on 0114 255 0926 and leave a message on the automated absence line before 8.30am, or alternatively call the school office from 8am and speak to a member of staff.
What should I do if I will be late at the end of the day to collect my child?
Call school immediately and speak to a member of staff. Please inform the school if you are sending someone else to collect your child.
What are the year group lunch times?
Nursery: 11:45 to 12:30
Reception: 11:30 to 12:30
Year 1: 12:00 to 12:55
Year 2: 12:00 to 12:55
Year 3: 11:55 to 12:50
Year 4: 11:55 to 12:50
Year 5: 12:15 to 1:10
Year 6: 12:40 to 1:35
What do I do if my child has a medical appointment during the school day?
Please inform the school office at the earliest time possible.
What are the arrangements for Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs from 8:00am to 8.30am every weekday, costing £1.50 per day. You can book this by ParentPay.
Can I bring in cakes/sweets for my child's birthday?
Unfortunately not, as other children may have allergies.
